Cricket Hurts
This is not funny at all. Cricket can be very entertaining but one should not forget the risk the players bear and the commitment they give. Hats off to the players. Someone compiled a good video of hurting cricket moments. Be careful!
Inzamam Out Obstructing the Field
The pressure is always high in India Pakistan clashes. The arch rivals have been involved in great as well as controversial moments. Inzamam getting out obstructing the field is one of the bitter moments considering the spirit of the game. Indian fans will take it though as they got the big fish out.
Inzamam used his bat to block himself from getting hit by the throw of Suresh Raina directed towards the stumps. The ball was obviously not going to hit the stumps but as the Indians appealed, the umpires had no option but to follow the rules and give Inzamam out.
Flying Stumps
A great compilation of clean bowled outs. This is one of my favourite videos and I am sure you will like it very much as well. Any cricket lover cannot refrain from appreciating the flying stumps montage.
Sachin Ducks
Glen McGrath getting Sachin leg before out for a ball that Sachin thought would bounce more and hence ducked down, only to get duck out. That seemed a bit controvertial because it hit Tendulkar on the shoulder but as Sachin was literally on the ground and the ball had not bounce much, it was a good decision.
Tendulkar's First Test Century Against Australia
The great Sachin Tendulkar's first ton against the mighty Aussies when he was very young. His agression and swiftness might have reduced now but still he is the most elegant of all cricketer. That is why he is the most popular cricketer.
Dhoni Controversial Runout against WI
Brain Lara losts his composure when his fielder's assertion that he had cleanly caught the ball inside the rope was not completely accepted and the benefit of doubt was given to Dhoni to continue playing. The environment created was not good for cricket. Dravid declared and also Dhone was given out as he accepted the fielder's assertion to end the controversy.
Sachin Bowls Moin Khan
Sachin Tendulkar sometimes sparks with magic with the ball. He bowled Moin Khan of the last ball of the day in a Test Series in Pakistan. Moin Khan was totally decieved by Sachin's googly.
India won the game by an innings and 52 runs. Sehway made the record 309 runs on the same test, with sachin scoring 194 and 60 not out on the two innings respectively. Dravid declared when Tendulkar was playing on 194. There were some media talks about the issue as well.
Jonty Rhodes' Famous Run Out of Inzamam
The two players featured here are involved in a number of runouts. Jonty is involved in running the opponent out and Inzamam in running out himself and his partner. Here Jonty runs a long distance and slams the stumps to get Inzi out.
Jonty Rhodes Catches
Arguably the best fielder in world cricket, Jonty Rhodes has produced some of the most awesome catches. His fielding efforts are not only elegant for the audience but also able to change the course of a game.
His one day batting record is also very good. Rhodes scored 5935 runs in one day internationals with 2 centuries and 33 half centuries playing a total of 245 matches.
Afridi Pitch Tampering
Sahid Afridi was caught tampering the pitch in Pakistan in a test against England. That was a naughty act by the naughty boy of cricket. He was banned for a test and two one day internationals.
Sachin At Sarjhah Final 1998
Sachin Tendulkar was at his peak when he produced some of the best innings of his life in the year 1998. In the 1998 Coca Cola Cup final, India beat Australia to win the cup. Sachin hit brilliant hundreds in the semi-final and the final of the tournament, both against the Australian team.
Sachin holds the record for most one day runs in a calendar year with 1894 runs in 1998. He scored 9 one day centuries in the same year which is also the highest number of centuries by a player in a calendar year.
Infamous Underarm Bowl
Underarm Bowling In Cricket - video powered by Metacafe
This is the infamous underarm ball bowled by Trevor Chappell of Australia under the captaincy of Greg Chappell against New Zealand in the Benson & Hedges World Series Cup 3rd Final Melbourne Cricket Ground on 1st February 1981. IT was done to avoid the possibility of a six on the last ball of the game. The move was heavily criticized.
Aamir Sohail Vs Venkatesh Prasad
The famous row between Aamir Sohali and Venkatesh Prasad in 1996 World Cup Quarter Final, India vs Pak in Bangalore. Prasad gave a perfect reply to the agressive gestures of Sohail by striking Sohail's stumps.
Mark Taylor Kick Catch
A great catch by Marck Taylor. He actually misses at the first attempt, however recovers well by somehow kicking the ball and being able to catch it. A bit of luck that the ball came to his hands but surely a great presence of mind and great piece of fielding.
Inzamam Hit Wicket
Inzamam has been involved in quite a few runouts and is know for not being a swift runner between the wickets but this is another funny part of Inzi, getting hit wicket out to Monty Panesar. Ohhhh! the spinner was too fast for Inzi.
Zaheer I love you
A Televised Romance - video powered by Metacafe
A very funny scene involving Zaheer Khan. A girl shows a poster showing Zaheer I love you and see what happens.
Sreesanth Reply to Nel
Sreesanth Dance After Hitting Six In South Africa - video powered by Metacafe
Sreesanth had a wonderful 1st test against South Africa on the India's tour of South Africa 2006. He got the man of the match award for his match winning 8 wicket haul. The more catching moment, though, was his bizarre reply to Andre Nel.
In reply to Andre Nel's words after beating Sreesanth's bat, Sreesanth hits a six, the next ball and celebrates with a strange dance, swinging his bat in the air and rotating his body.
Shane Warne's 700th Test Wicket
Watch Shane Warne Picking up the historical 700th test wicket in the Ashes as he dismisses Andrew Strauss.
Great Catch
